2015 was a weird season. There's no way of getting around that. But with that in mind Rich (flying solo this episode) tries to make sense of the year that was with Jason Galloway of Madison.com. He gives his take on the career arc of Joel Stave, the division of labor on the Badger coaching staff, and how he grades out Year 1 of Paul Chryst.

Episode 86 - B1G Picture: Nebraska

The second episode in a 2 show week, Rich and Max (in spirit) deliver the promised Nebraska preview with Mike'l Severe of The Bottom Line at Omaha.com. They talk the biggest questions on offense and defense and why Mike Riley isn't an "Energy Vampire". Rich and Max return to discuss the latest developments in spring practice.  They look at the depth at running back, the questions at wide receiver, and the pronunciation of Alex Hornibrook's name.  They close the show with Rich's theory on why the Badgers have had such a "quiet" spring.

Episode 63 - Paul Chryst: Pitt Head Coach with Paul Zeise

The long promised interview is finally here! Rich and Max are joined by Paul Zeise, sports writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and father of Pitt wide receiver Elijah Zeise, to disect Paul Chryst's tenure at Pitt.  Paul explains the situation on the team when Chryst arrived in Pittsburgh, where he excelled, where he needs to improve in Madison, and what the coach was like during the recruitment of his son.  Paul brings a unqiue perspective to the new man in charge that is a must listen for any Badger fan.

Episode 62 - 2014 Retrospective with Jesse Temple

With the dust finally starting to settle surrounding the coaching change, Rich and Max catch up with official Friend of the Show (his words, not ours) Jesse Temple to reflect on the 2014 season.  Jesse gives his thoughts on the staff's handling of the quarterback situation, why Rich was so wrong about Marcus Trotter place in Dave Aranda's defense, and of course no visit from Jesse is complete without some fashion talk.  There is something for everyone!

Episode 59 - Malaise (and other big words)

With Bowl Season upon us, Rich and Max take some time to focus on the Badgers' opponent in the Outback Bowl, the Auburn Tigers.  Rich learns about the bowl from an Auburn perspective with Brandon Marcello of Al.com before they both discuss the perceived general disinterest in the bowl game from the Wisconsin fan base.  The guys also respond to a great listener voicemail, read email from some international Badger fans, and close the show with a request for support (no, they don't want your money, promise!).

       

Episode 58 - A Chrystmas Miracle....well maybe

With the hiring of Paul Chryst made all but official, Rich and Max give - for the first time in a while - differing opinions on the hiring of the Pitt head coach with deep Wisconsin roots.  Max has overcome some of his skepticism in the hire, but Rich lays out why he still has significant reservations.

Making his podcasting debut, Logan Larson - better known as Space Coyote - joins the BuckAround to explain the fundamental concepts and techniques behind Wisconsin's long-successful rushing attack.  Logan breaks down the difference between zone and power running,   plays Wisconsin likes to run the most, where Corey Clement and Melvin Gordon need to improve most in 2014, and even gives a short preview of the Michigan season upcoming.  He's a man of many talents who helped produce arguably one of the most informative episodes of the BuckAround ever!
